Airport to downtown Minneapolis
To and from Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport to downtown Minneapolis >> Taxi, limousine, van and shuttle services, car rental companies, Light Rail Transit (LRT) and city bus service all operate at MSP.
If you choose the LRT, stop at Nicollet station downtown and then hop on a Metro bus heading south on Nicollet Mall to Millennium Hotel. See Ride Free on Nicollet Mall.
Getting around Minneapolis
Metro Transit provides convenient LRT and bus service throughout the
Twin Cities metro area. (Nicollet Mall Station is the best stop for
the Woman's Club/Loring Park.) Or check if your hotel offers free
shuttle service.
Bikes for rent—You can also rent a bike for a minimum of $5 a day—for getting from hotel to festival locations, and vice versa OR to explore Minneapolis! See Nice Ride. (And, yes,
there are bike racks by Loring Park and in front of the Millennium and Hyatt hotels!) See map.
Getting to Heartland Festival
Once you're in downtown Minneapolis, all our events are within walking distance—Woman's Club, Four Seasons Dance Studio and Loring Park Outdoor Milonga.
Except for the late-night milongas on Saturday and Sunday at Social Dance Studio. But NO WORRIES! If you don't have a rental car, our local tango dancers will provide free car rides to and from these two late-night milongas. Please check the registration table for "Local Ride" sign-up sheets.
Register for the festival.
